What to Expect from Red Light Therapy
Austin Red Light Therapy uses a medical-grade system called the LightMD ABPT1004, which delivers red and infrared light to your body. This technology is FDA-approved and works by gently warming tissues beneath the skin.
Red light therapy is non-invasive and can help with:
• Minor muscle and joint pain
• Back, neck, and shoulder tension
• Arthritis, sprains, and muscle spasms
• Stiffness or soreness
• Circulation in the area being treated
Each treatment uses a customized program designed to target your specific needs. While many people start to feel relief within a few sessions, results can vary.
During and After Your Session
Most clients experience a gentle warmth at the treatment site. You may feel deeply relaxed or even fall asleep. Afterward, the treated area might feel flushed or mildly itchy—this is temporary and normal.
To support your results:
• Stay well-hydrated (we recommend having water available)
• Avoid cold compresses and cold plunges on the treated area
• Resume your normal activities unless otherwise advised
For best results, we recommend starting with 8–10 sessions, typically 2 per week.
Important Considerations
Red light therapy may not work the same for everyone. While many people experience excellent results, outcomes vary. You always have other options for managing pain or inflammation, such as chiropractic care, over-the-counter medications, massage therapy, acupuncture, and ice and heat therapy, among others.
It’s your choice whether to try red light therapy, and you are free to stop at any time.
